The 570S Track Pack is a lightly reworked version of McLaren’s fastest Sports Series model. It’s a little lighter than the standard car, but it’s no more powerful and there haven’t been any changes to the chassis. Unchanged from the standard 570S the Track Pack’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 develops 562bhp at 7400rpm and 443lb ft at 5000rpm. The gearbox is a seven-speed dual-clutch item. McLaren quotes a 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds and a 0-124mph time of 9.4 seconds – one tenth faster than the 570S – with a top speed of 204mph.
With its carbon fibre tub and standard-fit carbon ceramic brakes the 570S is already the lightest car in its class by some margin. The Track Pack saves a further 25kg, thanks to the lightweight seats and trim, as well as the attractive wheels. McLaren quotes a dry weight of 1313kg.
