Dec 29, 2017 · Luck is always a factor, but to a large extent in mahjong you create your own ‘luck’ (or lack thereof) through the decisions you make during the game. Mahjong is a game of skill and luck, where most of the skill is built around maximising the chance that you can get lucky.
You end up flipping the right dora but this could easily backfire. You happen to perfect draw turns 10 and 11 to win, so I would overall call this more luck than skill (this is extremely unlikely to happen with 10 ukeiru 2-shanten into 7 ukeiru 1-shanten).
