Did Shouko and Ishida end up together? I just watched the movie, and at one point Shouko says to Ishida that she loves him. However, he misinterprets it at her saying “moon”. After that, it really wasn’t brought up in the movie if he grew romantic feelings toward her.
Because Ishida and Shoko were both in the same boat. They both got excessively bullied and they both hated themselves. They gave each other a reason to live. Shoko does love Yuzuru. Shoko most likely didn’t like what everyone was doing for her because it made her feel like a burden on everyone. This is the best explanation I can come up with
Sep 16, 2017 · Initially, Shoko apologizes to Shoya with her notebook, even though Shoya should be the one apologizing to her. This may just be Shoko's attempt to resolve her bullying situation. Her initial apology might indicate Shoko thinks she did something to upset Shoya, and this is why he's bullying her.
Sep 17, 2017 · While I can't say that I recall anything verbatim, I'll be updating my answer from here. Shouko says, not signs, in the movie, that. She believed that if she weren't around anymore, everything would be better, which is what led her to attempt suicide in the first place.
Shōya Ishida (石田 将也, Ishida Shōya?) is the male protagonist and main character of the Koe no Katachi series. He was once the bully of Shōko Nishimiya during sixth grade, a fact he grows to deeply regret and struggles to come to terms with as he befriends Shōko several years later.
The point was that both Ishida and Shoko could grow and become more self confident even if they didn't get in a relationship. It's hinted a little at the end of the manga that they might eventually have romance, but its purposely left unclear.
