Jun 29, 2020 · SCP-173 is meant to be made of concrete, but what's strange is that it creates blood and feces. How would something like that generate blood and feces? I know it can move when not looked at, so does it have some sort of pocket dimension and can't teleport when looked at?

SCP-173 is the designation for a sculpture made of concrete, rebar, and Krylon brand spray-paint. The statue becomes animated whenever it is not observed by people, and it will attempt to kill anyone who breaks eye contact with it (even by blinking) through strangulation or snapping their neck. SCP-173 is also somehow capable of producing bloody fe...
Item SCP-173 is to be kept in a locked container at all times. When personnel must enter SCP-173's container, no fewer than 3 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them. At all times, two persons must maintain direct eye contact with SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and relocked the container.
Moved to Site-19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown. It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP-173 is animate and extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.
Personnel report sounds of scraping stone originating from within the container when no one is present inside. This is considered normal, and any change in this behaviour should be reported to the acting HMCL supervisor on duty.
It’s a sort of acidic byproduct that resembles a mixture of blood and shit. No one knows why it appears, but it does, and it covers everything. It’s why they can’t use cameras to watch the thing, because the byproduct gets inside them and screws up the electronics
SCP-173's excretions blocked critical valves and electronics, with a surprising degree of efficiency. There was some discussion about whether the object could consciously direct the production of the blood and faeces that appears in its vicinity, and whether it was sapient enough to deliberately sabotage the cleaning systems.
SCP-173 ("The Sculpture") is an anomalous statue that possesses an extreme hostility to sentient lifeforms. SCP-173 was eventually captured by the SCP Foundation, being moved to Site-19 in 1993. Due to it excreting a mixture of feces and blood, Class-D personnel were tasked with cleaning its...
SCP-666-and-a-half-j From a meta perspective, probably because the guy needed to distinguish it from a weeping angel somehow, and an endless stream of blood and poop was what he came up with.
