Jun 27, 2023 · Pete Anderson was able to bring the right sound to Dwight Yoakam’s voice and songs when they met up in the blue collar country bars of Los Angeles in the ‘80s, and so was born one of the most commercially and artistically successful partnerships in roots American music in the late 20 th Century.
Recording his first solo CD on his own label in 1994, Anderson placed himself on the road in support of Working Class, a country-blues-rock-roots music extravaganza produced by Wakeman. While continuing to work with Yoakam, being the president of a record label opened new worlds for Anderson.
