Jan 31, 2024 · After returning the helmet to Alecto and ensuring Hades keeps his promise to return Sally, Percy makes his way to Mount Olympus at the top of the Empire State Building. Percy walks through the city of Olympus to the mountaintop, only to find Zeus sitting atop his throne.
Zeus dismisses Percy’s concerns and spares his life since he returned the bolt. Poseidon reassures Percy that he claims him as his son and tells Percy that he will have a decision to make regarding a delivered package when he returns home.
An honorable person, Percy insists on carrying the bolt back to Zeus himself, even if it means taking the risk of flying and risking Zeus’s wrath.
