So don't ask when quad-core support will be available, since it won't be anytime soon! However, PCSX2 will run fine on your quad-core processor. It just won't benefit from the extra 1 core.

Apr 26, 2009 · Pcsx2 currently supports only 2 cores. Spreading the emulation process across more cores is tricky due to the tight sync required by the different components of emulated PS2 hardware. We're working on expanding the support to 3/4 cores, but it may be a while yet before it happens.
