P is for Peril. Want to Read. I googled this same question and here is where that landed me. I loved the entire book, but the ending is so not finished.
Plot summary. Kinsey Millhone is hired by Fiona, the first wife of Dr. Dowan Purcell, to move along the stalled investigation by police of his disappearance. He disappeared nine weeks earlier, on September 12, 1986. The first wife is more concerned than present wife Crystal.
