Oct 6, 2020 · All things considered, Goku isn't stronger than Jiren yet and there are many reasons for that. Goku, in his normal Super Saiyan transformations, isn't good enough for Jiren, and as of right now, he cannot, by will, tap into Ultra Instinct.
When Frieza and Android 17 kept Goku from being eliminated, Jiren claims that if he has to beat Goku again, then so be it. The irony being that Jiren received a massive beating from Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku and would have lost if not for the strain of such transformation on his body.
Jiren probably respects Vegeta and Goku more than anyone else now. He lost respect for Toppo for losing his convictions against Vegeta. He doesn't understand Goku though.

May 18, 2018 · Initially, Jiren was supposed to debut in episode 78 of Dragon Ball Super and he's even in the episode's initial preview, but instead Toppo replaces him. Jiren was also supposed to fight Goku in episode 82, but it was ultimately pulled at the last minute as well.
