Jamie does things in order to get things, and not in a good way. He's very needy, very dependent, an ass kisser, but had he been tougher like his brothers and Rip, John's love for him would also include respect. John does not respect Jamie because he is weak and needy so his love only goes so far but he does not hate him. I agree.
