Jul 20, 2021 · The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) doesn't approve training providers or courses for you. As an employer, it’s your duty to perform your own due diligence and ensure that the course, and how it’s delivered, meets the standards outlined by the HSE and, most importantly, your needs.
Since the 1st of October 2013, the answer has been no. Any companies that previously offered ‘HSE Approved’ First Aid Training can not claim to be approved by the health & safety body. These changes provide more flexibility to choose who supplies your training.
FAW training includes EFAW and also equips the first aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses. In their June bulletin the HSE announced that blended learning is an accepted means by which workplace first aid training can be delivered.
