Danny (Joe Cummings) has some anger management issues and his son (Weston Banning) is a hateful teen. Sara (Ashley Rene') is trying to cope with her near mute son Sam (Houston Towe). Ashley and Sam have seen the creature while Danny and son make fun of them. The sound track was annoying.
I agree, for instance in the first Hobbit movie a goblin does the scream when he falls to his death.. I mean comon, a f*cking goblin?! Also in Man of steel there's a guy who does it when falling out of a airplane. It totally ruins the feeling for me.

They are similar to gremlins or trolls, and are mischievous at best, murderous at worst. Some movies about goblins go against the grain, and feature friendly, helpful characters rather than troublemakers.
I literally screamed at the final shot because I thought they were implying that she was pregnant by the goblin. Who needs sound design when you can loop the same 15 seconds of creepy ambiance for 72min straight, even during scenes that are not creepy at all.
