  4. Frank is getting towards (but not necessarily at) end stage liver disease. He's still at high risk for death and disease from it but the liver isn't fully boxed unless he gets mental status changes (portal encephalopathy) from near complete dysfunction of his liver.

  5. yes!!! he has a weakened immune system from his liver transplant yearsss ago (also I'm wondering how the hell he is still alive since we never see him take his anti-rejection meds? you can't just stop taking them after a transplant you have to take them for the rest of your life)

  6. They say you can't drink for however long before you can get one, but they don't really check up on you. Since most people with cirrhosis have it because of alcohol abuse and they make up the vast majority of those getting liver transplants so it is realistic in a way that Frank would qualify.
