What operating systems does Cumulus run on?
Cumulus 1 - All versions of Windows from XP to Windows 10 inclusive (and the server versions). It works on 32 bit and 64 bit editions. It may also work on Windows 2000, but this is not supported. You will probably not be able to get it to work on Windows 2000 with a Fine Offset station.

On this, make sure you pick the right sort of station (to ensure Cumulus communicates correctly with your weather station, and can identify all the observations) and choose...

I’ve configured my ftp details but the web pages aren’t appearing on my site
Try setting ‘use active FTP mode’. If you already have it set, try unsetting it. If it was previously working OK, something may have changed on your network, or at the server end.
I’ve tried active FTP mode, but my web pages (or my realtime.txt file) still don’t appear?
Are you absolutely sure you have set the ftp path correctly? Most problems like this are a result of an incorrect path. Note that the information in the 'FTP progress' window is not generally useful for diagnosing upload issues' try turning on the ftp logging (on the Configuration menu) and look in the ftplog.txt and realtimeftplog.txt files (in the Cumulus folder). Feb 20, 2024 · Running MX 3.26.0 on a Windows 11 system. Haven't encountered any problems in a while. I accessed the Dashboard site to monitor rainfall, but none of the metrics are functioning. Upon checking services, CumulusMX still appeared as "starting." It has been several days since I last rebooted my computer.

To run MX on Windows, you need .Net version of at least 4.5.2 installed. This is only available for the Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 operating systems. For Windows 10 you use .NET version 5 (or its updates), as installed by your windows update feature.
Nov 26, 2009 · As W8 is no longer being supported (and it would not run Cumulus MX anyway), I decided to bite the bullet and get a new W11 laptop to migrate the weather station on to. I thought I may have issues with compatibility/W11 security measures, and so it proved!
