May 22, 2021 · The MP toe last looks nice for engineers, but does not fit me well. The toe box feels cramped and too low, even though I have flatter toe boxes that feel more comfort from Clinch and Role Club. At the same time, the heel is super loose and the heel cup is way too shallow, therefore not grabbing my heel well at all.
Nov 17, 2020 · The MP toe looks nicer, but I was concerned about fit so stuck with the Boss toe. I would like to try the slimmer shaft option that is on the Mr Lou’s - the standard shaft is fairly big on a EEE fitting and limits you to a minimum 8.5” trouser opening.
May 7, 2021 · The Wesco MP toe engineer boots fit me extremely poorly. In fact, they are the worst fitting and most uncomfortable boots that I own. However, fit is subjective so they absolutely deserve a place on this list.
The MP 1339 (Motor Patrol toe) last is pretty similar in feel to the Viberg 2020. Snug in the waist and heel cup. The heel slip is present, but expected in a brand new engineer boot. They've got a better instep strap placement than the Viberg engineer I once had.
Nov 7, 2020 · It sounds like the OP got his answer, but these are built on the 1339 last. I wear my standard size - I'm a 13D and in the Mr. Lou, the 13E feels like a custom fit for me. I like it so much that I have a pair of 7500s in British Tan and both colors of the Mr. Lou (Brown and Black Horsehide).
Nov 17, 2020 · Wesco will make you a pair to size - but best to call them or Baker's boots direclty and describe your sizing with them. Thier website shows the Mr Lou's only as Stock boots, just call them they will help. No the Size 11 (Wesco) was too short - toes on both feet against the end of the boot.

Oct 3, 2024 · How to Wear Engineer Boots. The trick is to wear wide enough pants or narrow enough boots that the trousers cover the shaft, hiding the boot’s flashiness. Wesco’s Mr Lou model is considered best for fitting under tapered pants. If you want to show off the style you can cuff your jeans higher, but don’t tuck them into the boot.
