Jesus responds to them by saying, in part, the phrase, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven" (Luke 10:17–18). In saying this, Jesus was likely referencing Isaiah 14:12, which says: "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
