I have quite a few games and tested several, but none of those games are connecting to any servers. My internet is working fine. That leads me to believe that game servers have shut down. Is there a list of all the ps3 games that have online servers still?

- Bionic Commando Rearmed (PS3) One of Capcom’s earlier franchises, Bionic Commando first appeared back in 1987, seeing a couple of handheld follow-ups before quietly disappearing.
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD (PS3) Castlevania’s been missing for some time. While the Netflix series got renewed for a fourth season, we’ve not seen a new console game since 2014’s enjoyable Lords of Shadow 2 continued Konami’s now-stalled 3D reboot.
- Critter Crunch (PS3) Capybara Games returned to PlayStation last year with Below, but back in 2009, it made its name with Critter Crunch. Initially released for mobiles, this arcade-style puzzle game brought a new spin on Bust-A-Move.
- Hard Corps: Uprising (PS3) Contra’s had a rough ride this last decade. Between Pachislot and mobile entries, 2019’s Rogue Corps made for an utterly dreadful experience, but in 2011, Konami gave us a highly entertaining spin-off.

Longtime Tom’s Guide readers may remember that there was a big to-do about the PS3’s online store last year. Sony threatened to shut the whole thing down, because the company wanted to focus more attention on selling PS4 and PS5 games. After a month of fan backlash, Sony agreed to continue operationsfor the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita, alt...
In retrospect, I should have foreseen that this would be a difficult process when I booted up my PS3 and found that the PlayStation Store refused to load. This, I discovered, was due to my system’s clock being set to the wrong time, as the PS3 does not automatically adjust for Daylight Savings. This was also the easiest part of the process to corre...
That was the end of my payment difficulties, but a few more hurdles still stood between Yakuza: Dead Souls and me. After I finally bought the game, I selected the Download option, only to be informed that I didn’t have enough space — 20 GB, to be precise. This part was, perhaps, understandable. I’ve had the PS3 for more than a decade, and had never...
When Sony first announced the PS3 store shutdown, I argued that such practices were counterproductive for game preservation. Without rehashing my whole argument, older games are already difficult to play, and removing them from digital stores makes it that much harder. While it’s admirable that we can still buy and download PS3 games, the process i...
It's been said before, but yes, you'll still be able to access any previously purchased games. They'll take the storefronts down, eventually, but a license is still attached to your PSN account, which will allow you to grab the binaries off of whatever storage servers they're on.
Content can still be downloaded directly to PS3 consoles or PS Vita systems or it can be transferred using a PC. Existing PlayStation Plus subscriptions will not be affected by these changes. You can access and download all of your existing PlayStation Plus content.
