Jan 3, 2019 · Keeping people in a box helps us to feel in control. Thus instead of accepting someone as they are NOW, we fight to view them as something we are comfortable with. When we view a person as who they were ten, fifteen, twenty years ago, it can be hard to connect with them if we are not able to communicate with who they are in the here and now.
However, you must be careful you do not start trying to put love in a box. A powerful romantic phase may continue for weeks and months. You may start to distance yourself from your friends in order to spend time with Mr. or Ms. Wonderful.
