Jun 16, 2018 · If you cannot get the mod to work, try Universal Split Screen: it works with many games, including Terraria: Universal Split Screen UPDATE 2.0.0: Multiple keyboard/mice support. See the parts in green for the added instructions. Please note that 2.0.0 only works on Windows - Mac/Linux users must use 1.0.1
Split screen setup. Install and run Universal Split Screen: see the quick start guide. In options, load the Terraria preset. Go back to the Current window tab. Alt+tab into the first instance. Set the mouse and keyboard or controller. Repeat for the other instances.
May be a bit late but I'm trying to play universal split screen with my gf. There's half a second after running tmodloader between when the code finishes and before Terraria actually opens, tmodloader closes and you can hit play again and it'll open a second instance before being stuck on the cancel button. Last Updated. 6 years ago. Description. (NOW WITH MULTIPLE KEYBOARDS/MICE!) Adds split screen multiplayer with gamepads and multiple keyboards/mice. Please visit the mod page for installation instructions. Check the mod homepage if you have any issues setting up multiple keyboards/mice.
You can use UniversalSplitScreen (found on GitHub). It’s easy to set up especially if you follow a tutorial (you can just replace whatever game the tutorial has with Terraria). It only supports a few games but Terraria is one of them. I tried it a few hours ago and it worked flawlessly.
I was doing some research and there aren't any splitscreen specific mods anymore. However you can trick steam into running two instances of modded Terraria. After running tmodloader, there's a split second once the code finishes and before Terraria opens, you can run tmodloader again before steam considers it "running."
