People who have a Critical Skills Employment Permit can bring their family to live with them in Ireland. Family are from a country whose citizens need a visa to enter Ireland : they must all apply for separate visas.
Permit holders may apply to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service for permission to reside and work without the requirement for an employment permit upon completion of the Critical Skills Employment Permit’s duration. Other general features of employment permits also apply.
The Critical Skills Employment Permit is for skilled workers who are qualified in professions where there is a shortage of skills in Ireland. Information about which emloyment permit holders are allowed to bring their family to Ireland, and how those family members can apply to live and work.
If your employment falls within the broad employment category but you do not have a specialism as indicated under ‘Employments with specific skills’, you may not be eligible for a Critical Skills Employment Permit.
