Probably the most productive place to fish in March is Pevensey Bay. Unlike other venues on the south coast the water at Pevensey tends to stay dirty even through calm periods and is sheltered so you can fish there during the roughest seas.
Mar 1, 2017 · LW at pev and east towards cooden can fish better than HW. Best in darkness but if there's a bit of surf running daytime should see plenty of bass and flounders. Freshouts best for the bass, pumpable on all but short tides.
Aug 30, 2024 · A few miles to the east of Hastings and St. Leonards at the east end of the Sussex coast you’ll find Pevensey Bay. A shallow, shingle that runs into sand mark that fishes pretty well for all species that like that sort of ground.
Sep 21, 2017 · There will be fish all round the bay. Of course some spots are better than others, but if fish are about you could drop in anywhere in Pevensey bay and be confident of catching.
Dec 5, 2023 · After days of wind and rain, last night had a break in the weather , so I thought there maybe a chance. HW was just after 2330hrs so I aimed to start fishing around 8pm. It was a reasonable spring tide too.

May 27, 2020 · Pevensey Bay. New to shorefishing and I'm planning on getting to know Pevensey Bay first due to distance and ease of access. I've been reading a fair bit here and elsewhere and it seems like it's not the busiest beach, easy to fish and there are quite a few species in summer.
