Mako Mermaids (original title Mako: Island of Secrets) is an Australian television program for children, and is a continuation of H2O: Just Add Water. The series was announced in July 2011. Mako Mermaids made its debut in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland on July 26, 2013 on Netflix.
This series is sort of an inverse H2O where mermaids get legs to go on land instead of girls becoming mermaids. The three leads of Mako, Lucy Fry (Lyla), Ivy Lattimer (Nixie), and Amy Ruffle (Sirena) spend a lot of time antagonizing each other and those around them.
