I’ve gotten a handful of pretty solid, 3-star pokémon from Grunts and Rocket battles; one of which is a 2243cp 3* Gallade. From my fight with Giovanni, I got a 2641cp 3* Latios. In the long-run, I think they’re worth it!

This Grunt uses Psychictype Pokémon, which are weak to Dark and Ghost-type attacks. Catchable in this encounter are Shadow Gothita or Shadow Solosis.Origin Forme Giratina, Tyranitar, Gengar, and Hydreigon are great at defeating the Psychic-type Grunt’s entire roster.
Grunts using this taunt use primarily Flyingtype Pokémon. You best counter options are Rock and Electric-type Pokémon like Smack Down Tyranitar, Rhyperior, Magnezone, Raikou. Catchable in this encounter are Shadow Pidgey, Shadow Starly, Shadow Zubat (which can be shiny), Shadow Gligar (which can be shiny), or Shadow Staravia.
