Jul 31, 2022 · yes and no - unfortunately (for reasons never understood and never given) Ambient do no longer sell the WH32 T/H outdoor sensor (Ambient WH32E, Ecowitt WH32). A WS-2000 console (which is the same as a WS-5000 console) could read an Ambient WH32E only but not an Ecowitt WH32.

If you can’t afford to import a weather station from the States, Ecowitt weather stations are just as good, if not better. Feb 20, 2024 · Unlike other weather stations, the differences between Ambient weather station models are not as significant. The main difference is in sensor quality and sensor reporting frequency. The WS-5000 reports the most frequently and has a sonic anemometer.
They are the same. Ambient is the US branded version of the product and has some agreements in place with Ecowitt as to what can be sold in the US. Ambient products upload to various places like WU and Ambient’s own network, just like Ecowitt does to WU and their own weather network.
