May 6, 2024 · Hallmark has released several intriguing mystery series over the years. Although similar, each has unique features. Here is how they compare to each other.

- Mystery 101: Words Can Kill. English professor Amy Winslow (Jill Wagner) is a connoisseur of crime fiction. However, when she uses that knowledge to try and solve crimes, she often clashes with Detective Travis Burke (Kristoffer Polaha).
- Picture Perfect Mysteries: Newlywed and Dead. This movie stars real-life married couple Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, promising a heap of gripping chemistry.
- Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver. When a well-known magician dies in front of a live audience during a dangerous trick, is it the result of an occupational hazard, or something more nefarious?
- Ruby Herring Mysteries: Her Last Breath. Ruby Herring (Taylor Cole) is a consumer news reporter who discovers she has a talent for solving crime. As she begins a new career path of crime coverage, she teams up with Detective Jake Killian (Stephen Huszar).
- Good Witch. "Good Witch" is a fun, feel-good comedy/drama/fantasy series about Cassie Nightingale (played by Catherine Bell), a woman who runs a magic store in a small town where she offers advice and healing remedies to her customers.
- Cedar Cove. Having a bad day? Sit back, relax, and watch "Cedar Cove" — nothing bad ever happens there. Judge Olivia Lockhart (played by Andie MacDowell) is well-liked, trusted, and supportive of her community.
- Home & Family. "Home & Family" initially aired on The Family Channel from 1996 to 1998. It was dropped from the network and disappeared into the entertainment void until 2012 when Hallmark revived the talk show.
- When Calls the Heart. Hallmark's historical romance series "When Calls the Heart" premiered in January 2014. Since then, it's become a fan favorite, with nine seasons available to watch and a 10th in production, as of this writing.

- 'Wedding Planner Mystery' (2014) (5.9/10) Wedding planners makes sure that every last detail is accounted for. They make sure that the bride, groom, photographer and the band are in their correct spots and have everything ready.
- 'Redemption in Cherry Springs' (2021) (6.1/10) Not all mystery films have an unsolved murder investigation, some rely on having a missing person. Rochelle Aytes starred in the 2021 film Redemption in Cherry Springs.
- 'To Catch a Spy' (2021) (6.2/10) Hotel Optima in Malta geared up for its grand reopening and hoped to welcome tourists from around the world. Chloe Day (Nathalie Kelley) from Destination Traveler Magazine traveled to Malta to write about the tourism in the area.
- 'Cut, Color, Murder' (2022) (6.3/10) Julie Gonzalo, who played in multiple Hallmark movies, portrayed Ali Reed in the 2022 thriller Cut, Color, Murder.
I've been binge-watching Hallmark Mysteries lately and Mystery 101 is by far my favourite. The writing is excellent, and show that you can be 'lightweight' but still create interesting storylines. It has a right balance of comedy and drama.
