I hate the friends-to-lovers trope: This should go into reasons why I dislike Sam, but I wanted to have three points on both sides: Sam and Danny were already friends, before and after the accident. You can't tell where the chemistry is.
Also, her whole relationship with Danny seems so forced. Every character seemed to ship them from episode one. Poor Danny never even seemed that interested in her, until the writers were like “ok, you gotta go date Sam now”. It always seemed so one sided, plus they don’t even seem like each other’s type.
In the Phantom and Ladybug story Sam was jealous of Marinette getting with Danny however, when they talk to each other, he does find her a nice person and gave her blessings to date her best friend
