Residenz Ansbach (Ansbach Residence), also known as Markgrafenschloss (Margrave's Palace), is a palace in Ansbach, Germany. It was the government seat of the Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach. Today it is the administrative seat of the government of Middle Franconia.
The large Gothic Hall with its ribbed vault, in which the largest collection of faience and porcelain from the former Ansbach Manufactory is now on display, was built in the late 16th century. The medieval complex was redesigned as a modern residence between 1705 and 1730.

Ansbach isn't a big town so the quality of the Residenz is surprising. See the stuffed horses in the basement and the porcelain chandelier in the throne room. Nice exterior too. Tours are available in German, but there is an English language written copy to help follow along.
