This logo was introduced on June 24, 2006, and made its first theatrical appearance on that year's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and on Walt Disney Animation Studios films starting with Meet the Robinsons. However, the previous logo was still used on posters (as a print logo) until September 28, 2007. Although the logo was retired in 2011, it's still used on production files of Disney films, and as a secondary logo.
2011–present
Same as the previous logo, but it only had "Disney" below the castle. It was first introduced on 2011's The Muppets, used on Pixar films starting with Brave, and on Walt Disney Animation Studios films starting with Wreck-It Ralphwhich both released in 2012. Although a new on-screen logo was unveiled in 2022, honoring the company's 100th anniversary, this print logo is still in use.
