If you don’t want someone’s real-time location on your map, you can hide it. You can turn their location back on at any time. On your computer, open Google Maps. Click Menu Location sharing. Tap their icon. To temporarily hide someone, tap Hide on map. Tip: You can permanently block someone’s location from your map.
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Make sure you're connected to the internet and signed in to Google Maps. Search for a place, like San Francisco. At the bottom, tap the name or address of the place tap More Download offline map. If you searched for a place like a restaurant, tap More Download offline map Download.
On Google Maps, at the top, enter a destination. Tap Directions . If an Immersive preview is available, tap the photo. To get to the next step in the route, at the bottom, tap the Right arrow . To get to the previous step, at the bottom, tap the Left arrow . To play your route, tap Play .
