Theoretically this wont cost you any money and will make it so you can communicate in the interim. I would look up how to reset the phone to factory settings but as far as I know you should be good to go.

In the good old days, a simple root, change of variables and some string code additions would do the trick to activate VOLTE permanently, but that cannot be done with the newer ASUS devices now.
