  2. Aug 18, 2023 · On August 3rd my balance was £641.30 in credit. My quarterly bill was due around this time (usually the 5th), but i did not receive one until the 14th. The bill was for £103.37. My balance now is only £403.52 in credit. £237.78 would actually be a more typical quarterly bill for me, even with the price increases.

Jan 8, 2024 · The issue with this is that now that this has happened, British Gas support only covers new billing accounts and it is near impossible to get a hold of someone from the old billing department. When I request to be moved to it, I wait 10-15 minutes only to get put through to another person from the new billing department.

I received my British Gas Bill on the 14/11/23 and paid it online on the 15/11/23 using my debit card via the new British Gas App. The payment went through and I received an email saying thank you for your payment ect. I have also checked my debit card statement and it says the money has been taken by British Gas.

In October 22 I was substantially in credit, and my last reliable dual-fuel statement said my payments were “on track”, though for safety I increased my direct debit payment to £500 per month and that was taken in December.
