Use My Maps in your browser. To use My Maps, sign in to My Maps with your Google Account. My Maps works best in these browsers: Google Chrome. Firefox. Safari. If you’re having problems using My Maps, try updating your browser.

- Share Your Map With Others. The first feature that we'll talk about is sharing. To do this, select the Share icon in the toolbar on the upper left of the pane under the title of your map.
- Drawing Tools. The second feature that you should know about is the "draw" feature, which essentially includes the Draw a line tool and the Add marker tool.
- The Search Feature. If you don't know the location of a destination or point of interest, you can enter its name in the search bar near the top of the pane.
- Personalization Options. To personalize points on your map, hover over the name of the point in your menu to make the paint bucket icon appear. Click that icon to open up a color pallet and different point icons.

You can view your My Maps using Google Maps. To make and edit your own custom maps to share online, use My Maps.
If you've created a My Map, you can view it in the Google Maps app on your phone or tablet.
1. Sign in and open the Google Maps app .
To create and edit custom maps, open My Maps in your web browser.
To close or remove a custom map from appearing in Google Maps:
1. Tap a place, line, or region from the My Map.
2. At the bottom, tap the My Maps icon .
3. Tap View Map Legend.
4. Tap Close .
