She was born and raised in San Diego, California. The youngest of four, Sunnie has two older brothers and a sister.
It was evident from an early age that she loved performing. With older siblings in the industry, it allowed her to start her career at age three, starting with a Hugies Pull Ups commercial. Her work continued on into modelling for Hanna Andersson, an online children's clothing retailer, as well as Jakks Pacific, a toy packaging company.
