Sep 20, 2019 · Shaun of the Dead was shot using Arriflex cameras on 35mm film and finished as a 2K DI which has been used for this Ultra HD Blu-ray release. The disc presents an up-scaled 3840 x 2160p resolution image in the correct widescreen 2.35:1 aspect ratio, and uses 10-bit video depth, a Wide Colour Gamut (WCG), High Dynamic Range in the form of HDR10+ , and is encoded using the HEVC (H.265) codec.

Feb 22, 2005 · Having only watched Shaun of the Dead 4K, I have to say that going off memory (I've seen the movie countless times on the 1080p blu ray release), that the image is surprising (because it's by Universal and is a cash in release) better by some margin mainly due to HDR/WCG, and decent level of natural grain and detail, in spite of it upscaled transfer.

Sep 17, 2004 · Sep 17, 2004. #2. Check out the zombie fact subtitle thingy. I believe it is a reference to the original dawn of the dead (I am probably wrong on that) music or some such zombie fick. Apologies for not knowing that for sure. Much of the original synth soundtrack was a "homage" to Carpenters synth score from his films.
