Portencross Castle, also known historically as Portincross Castle, is situated in Portencross, on the west coast of Scotland, about 3 km from West Kilbride. The site has been fortified since the 11th Century. The present tower castle is thought to date from the mid-14th Century and later.

Mar 1, 2024 · Portencross is a small castle, but in excellent condition thanks to the restoration and if accompanied by a walk of the surrounding area is a lovely half-day activity. Entry is free but we thought it was such a great cause that we donated £10.
