Btw, I've read the books by Diana Gabaldon too, so I might be biased a bit in my enjoying the series. Interestingly enough, I didn't like the second book either, it was the most boring of all books. Once you get past that, the books pick up once again (just like the original Outlander novel) again. Just hated the whole France thing.

But the latest seasons have just not been good. Something is just off. Outlander season 5 is like, a hallmark period drama, but with rape.
Apr 9, 2023 · First and foremost Outlander is a historic romance series at it's core. The characters and setting all get explored in detail. The "traveling back in time" thing is more of a plot device in order to have fun with the narrative of a woman living in the past who is literally ahead of her time in the way she acts and thinks.

A used ICE Outlander, I'd make sure it was under 30k miles, get an independent inspection, check the CVT fluid color (it should be a opaque dark green, and immediately get the CVT serviced after purchase. You do all that and you got a good SUV.

Feb 11, 2022 · Unpopular opinion - people see/read Jamie too superficially and judge him for it. He's either forgiven because he's hot/brave/says something swoony. Or he's not forgiven because he acts all 18th century and hot-headed. But i don't think people take enough time to think about him and why he behaves the way he does.

If you watch the "inside outlander" special feature they tell you it's a combination of special shoes that turn his feet in and the actors own special walk he created plus digital effects.
Jan 11, 2016 · Basically, Outlander is brilliant, except for that one damn episode which is frankly awful padding. And I'm no expert on the books either, but I have the feeling the whole travelling singer stuff was practically just one or two throw-away lines in the book, which somehow they managed to pad out into an entire, painfully irritating episode.
