Lucien Moraweck (May 24, 1901, Belfort – October 20, 1973, San Diego, California) was a French jazz pianist. [1] Biography. Moraweck studied music formally at the Paris Conservatoire in his youth, but began devoting his attention primarily to jazz starting around 1924.
Lucien Moraweck studierte zunächst Klavier und Harmonielehre am Pariser Konservatorium, ehe er sich ab 1924 vorrangig dem Jazz zuwandte. In der Folgezeit spielte er in verschiedenen Jazzbands neben Musikern wie den Schweizern Edmond Cohanier und Georges Marion. Mit dem belgischen Saxophonisten Paul Gason bildete er eine Zeit lang ein Jazzduo.
