Komsomolsk or The Frozen North (also known a City of Youth) is a 1938 Soviet drama film directed by Sergei Gerasimov. Made by Lenfilm, it is a propaganda work set against the backdrop of the construction of the new city of Komsomolsk.
On August 24, 1981, the newlyweds Larisa and Vladimir Savitsky stepped on board the plane following the flight Komsomolsk-on-Amur - Blagoveshchensk, the Soviet Union. 30 minutes before landing, the AN-24 civilian aircraft collided with a Soviet Air Force Tu-16 K bomber and fell to pieces at an altitude of more than 5 kilometers above the ground.
On August 24, 1981, the newlyweds Larisa and Vladimir Savitsky, after their honeymoon trip to Komsomolsk-on-Amur, flew aboard an airplane bound for Blagoveshchensk. As a result of a collision with a bomber of the USSR Air Force, half an hour before landing, the An-24 aircraft crashed.
