Dec 24, 2023 · My brother recently passed away and worked for HSBC over 30yrs paying into a pension When he passed away,his WILL and pension stated a "wish" that his pension would be shared by 4 beneficiaries HSBC didn't for whatever reason contact the executor of his WILL but go directly to the beneficiaries and state they "Will receive a lump sum"

AIP & Application : 11th March 2021 Credit search : 11th March ( 7 time soft search & 1 hard search) credit search : 17th March 2021 Ask additional docs: 17th March 2021 Docs submitted : 17th March 2021.
Apr 17, 2012 · The nearest HSBC branches are each an hour away by car in opposite directions, so I've suggested he'd be much better off to post the cheque to his branch in the UK. Otherwise it's a toll charge and diesel each way!
Jul 4, 2020 · We had to chase HSBC on 01/07 as we could see no progress with our application, and were then told the property has passed valuation and we have also passed credit checks. The advisor then said she would push the application through to the underwriters, as our mortgage advisor was away.

HSBC's product is not terrible but I agree with Dunstonh above who says it 'adds no simplicity' to use them (when the OP had suggested using them because bank and mortgage was already with HSBC). Aug 8, 2017 · HSBC are causing me to waste time that I could be billing to clients instead. I have seen a lot of rumblings about Safeguard inline and it seems that I am not alone in having my account closed. It is also clear to me that HSBC have dropped the ball somewhere along the lines and that Safeguard is either ill conceived or badly implemented (possibly both) - although they will never admit to that.
