  2. I think Stephen Malkmus does get quite a lot of recognition from any band that came up after pavement. I can think of a few bands that are taking heavy influence from Malkmus, Parquet Courts, Courtney Barnett (theres a solo on her last album that is 100% malkmus) just off the top of my head.
