David James Ball (born 3 May 1959) is an English producer and electronic musician, who has played in bands such as Soft Cell and the Grid, and collaborated with other producers including Ingo Vauk and Chris Braide. He is usually called Dave Ball on record sleeves.
Dave Ball is a British musician who co-founded the synth-pop duo Soft Cell with Marc Almond in 1979. He also released a solo album, In Strict Tempo, and formed The Grid, a pioneering acid house act.
David J. Ball (30 March 1950 – 1 April 2015) was an English guitar player. Career. In April 1971, he left Big Bertha and joined Procol Harum after he saw an advertisement in Melody Maker. He replaced Robin Trower, who had left the group to form his own band.
