Nov 2, 2020 · Obviously C1R didn't release in Feb. This implies that Crytek originally planned for Crysis Remastered to have a 6-8 month development cycle. But the projects dragged out a lot longer due to COVID and quality concerns (which are still ongoing, with major patches coming "soon"). This confirms that Crytek planned to remaster Crysis 2 and 3.

There were rumors of an IO Interactive purchase but now the rumors are centered around a n exclusive Xbox game that goes by Project Dragon. FYI, the rumors are still buzzing around a possible Crytek and Netherrealms purchase.
May 21, 2021 · Now that would be something. If Hunt: Showdown is any indication, the Cry engine is still capable of producing incredible visuals, and the Crytek team still ridiculously talented when it comes to gameplay and atmosphere.
