Claudio Miguel Pizarro Bosio (Latin American Spanish: [ˈklawðjo piˈsaro]; born 3 October 1978) is a Peruvian former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is currently serving as club ambassador for Bayern Munich. He was captain of Peru's national football team, being its fifth highest scorer. [5] .

- 12 September, 1999: 1st Bundesliga goal. When Pizarro arrived at Bremen in 1999 from Allianz Lima in his native Peru, no-one - not even the man himself - could have imagined the outrageous success and longevity he would enjoy over 20 seasons in Germany.
- 19 September, 1999: 1st Bundesliga hat-trick. Playing in an ultra-attacking Bremen side under Thomas Schaaf and alongside the likes of Ailton and Marco Bode, Pizarro very quickly flourished.

Borussia Dortmund had won the title in Pizarro's first season in Bavaria, but the South American tandem of the Peruvian and Brazil international Giovane Elber fired Bayern to a league-DFB Cup double in 2002/03.
