Jul 4, 2023 · Without the servers, you cannot log in to your BBID account to get into the PlayBook. And today, you can’t even get past the User Agreement. For anyone that has wiped their PlayBook, or wants to wipe their PlayBook, there is a solution get past the setup screens and have a fully usable tablet again.
Nov 6, 2013 · I performed a security wipe and am going through the set-up process to get it working on my BB-ID. When I get to the "Agreement" screen, it presents a field for country, and a "drop down". The field is blank, as is the drop down menu.
Feb 9, 2012 · If you wiped your PlayBook, you can definitely get it back up and running again in 2023! Go to the instructions in the YouTube video posted above. This will install a BB10 Dev Alpha for the PlayBook. The workaround to get past the setup screens can take a few tries of back and forth.
Boots up fine but going through the setup routine I get stuck on the "Agreement" page. The drop down doesn't show any country. I did a bit of digging and saw suggestions to "unbrick" via the desktop software but when I try to "update" it says no update was found.
I have confirmed this works on the Z10, Classic, and Passport and have every reason to believe it will work across all devices. The fix also does more than simply get you out of setup (permanently)--it also restores the ability to sideload so you can use native BB10 apps!!!!
Around a few months ago, u/aLdroBSe found a way to skip the initial setup screen on the PlayBook, which has been a problem since the BlackBerry activation servers were decommissioned.
If the battery icon on the screen doesn’t show a lightning bolt or the charging LED does not blink, it is not charging. Try using a different micro-USB charger with the device. If it still does not charge, you may need to replace the battery or repair the USB port using this guide.
