The university is also home to the Swansea Bay Sports Park, which houses a 50m national pool, athletics track, gym, pitches, climbing wall, squash courts and much more. The Wales National Pool was even used as a training facility for several professional athletes who competed in the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics.
Incidentally, Swansea is often voted to have amongst the best for student experiences so you're obviously missing out on a lot. The library: The main issue is the amount of people there to hang out, eat, and watch youtube or facebook on the limited computers instead of actually 'work' in the 'library'.

9 years ago. A. donutaud15. Swansea uni is generally great. Lots of decent societies, great facilities and it's near the beach (like literally just across the beach) The people are very friendly. There are some chavvy areas but you can always avoid it.

Accounting and Finance take place on the new campus which opened 6 years ago. The campus is the base for Engineering, Business, Computer Science and Maths. Swansea is an amazing university, but it depends on the course and which course structure you prefer. If they offer the same syllabus then think about how far from home you want to be. However, if I had that choice I would pick Swansea, I did a lot of research on the uni because it was one of the universities which I wanted to apply to, and I have many friends who love it there

The other option is to stay in one of the many new private halls in or around the city centre, Have a look at Coppergate, Oldway, Seren and several others. Approx 15 minutes each way by bus. M.
