Oct 4, 2024 · VM have identified a set of ex-customers who still have an active Virgin Media email account. These should have been closed around 90 days after the broadband account was cancelled. The notifications have just started to go out and VM will fully close the email account 30 days after the initial communication. Dave.

We’ll close your Virgin Media email account in 30 days, which means you won’t be able to access your inbox after that and contents of your account will be removed and permanently deleted."

Then, under Virgin Media Mail app password tap Generate new App password and follow the instructions. A new secure password will be generated for you.

Aug 8, 2024 · If you have changed the username for the secondary account to a gmail address then you need to use that email address as the sign in when accessing the secondary account along with the relevant My Virgin media password for the secondary account. The secondary account should not need 'retrieving' as it should still be there.

Existing broadband customers are not able to add new VM email addresses since that date. VM said that existing customer email addresses would continue to be supported.
