What happened to the Maiden Heist?
Originally called the Maiden Heist this small production (Morgan Freeman co-produced to get funds) disappeared without trace after its initial release. It only got a region 1 release on DVD. Another small film that fell through the cracks that sadly a lot of good films do because they don't fit well in the multiplex hierarchy.

Is the Maiden Heist a good movie?
The Maiden Heist definitely falls into that category. It is undeniably a small movie, even given its cast, and many people may feel they have been short changed by not having some crime epic on their hands. Personally I think its wrong to judge a film on what it never intended to be and judge it only on what it intends to be.

Is the heist a good movie?
The story is a bit far fetched, but it holds your attention. If you want something that is pretty stress free and has a good ending, this is good time filler. The DVD I watched was simply titled "The Heist" with the word "Maiden" omitted. It's not all bad, but it feels like an afternoon TV movie with OTT casting.

Is Walken & Freeman a good movie?
Walken and Freeman are charming and Macy is hilarious. Of course the premise is shaky but it's touching to see the passion these characters have for their respective pieces of art and their heartbreak at seeing them being taken away. A very watchable and rewatchable movie. Really good!
