Seeing as the public transport network is overcrowded and the Mayor is trying to increase bicycle use, why does the TfL journey planner require you to specifically ask for the route and journey-time by bicycle.

May 27, 2024 · It seems that 4.5 years ago in 2020 I had decided that blocking cookiebot, which is a key part of the TFL web site, was needed to block certain ads. I did this by an entry in the hosts file (system32\drivers\etc\hosts). Most TFL functionality worked just fine without cookiebot but the route planning doesn't seem to.

Nov 20, 2013 · The SE Traveline (which is based on the same technology as the TFL journey planner) does have a 'feedback' button so if you do get offered a ludicrous journey, you can at least bring it to the attention of 'the management' fairly easily, and they will attempt to establish which particular bit of nonsense has generated it and resolve it.

I once asked it for a route from South Kensington to Liverpool Street with the option "fastest journey time" selected, and it said take the Piccadilly Line to Green Park, the Victoria Line to Oxford Circus and then the Central Line, with a total journey time of 26 minutes.
