Nov 30, 2023 · It didn't solve my problem until I figured it out much later, but I ended up accidentally deleting the sru folder along with its contents. I quickly created another sru folder and even an SRUDB.dat file, but the service doesn't write on the folder nor on the file, so I'm worried about any issue I might have in the future.
Nov 21, 2014 · Under the resource monitor, "c:\windows\system32\sru\srudb.dat" is shown to be constantly writing to the disk 6+ megabytes per second. Disk reading = 0. I/O priority = normal. Response time = 1ms (presumably because writing is continuous)

During the digging i found out that you can do a scan/repair by opening the CMD and entering sfc/ scannow. so that's what i did and it came up with "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

Sep 19, 2020 · The SRU folder holds data, usually logs . . etc. from the Windows System Resource Usage Monitor, not much information is available on that Smart Clock folder May I ask, why do you want to delete those folders, deleting the SRU folder is definitely not an advisable thing to do

In the ‘ Windows setup’ page select the ‘ language to install’, ‘ Time and currency format’ and the ‘ keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘ next’. Sep 7, 2022 · It's been using disk a lot and some CPU as well, nothing to overheat my computer but it often ends up consuming CPU that I need as well. Typically it uses something around 10%-20% of CPU and around 7-8MB/s of disk. I'm not sure if this is related but browsing for possible fixes to this, I also found that the SRU folder is plagued with thousands ...
