I have been using Dirac, Audyssey for a long time, now Anthem ARC, and never felt the need to check levels with a SPL meter. Every time I did that, the SPL meter never showed anything more than 1 or 2 dB max of variance between channels at the mmp.

  10. Oct 20, 2008 · The auto setup on my Yamaha is accurate for setting the SPL levels and distances for my speakers. I just go and edit the speaker size and crossover like you suggest. I also disable the Yamaha PEQ feature. It you use the manual setup with an SPL meter you should get the same results within +/- 0.5 dB.
